Das Blümelein Project was established in the fall of 2017
by Agostina Migoni and Bethany Mamola.
Ms. Migoni and Ms. Mamola, both opera singers, were living in Berlin at the time, taking auditions and studying the German language and culture. This experience fueled their desire to create musical narratives through artistic collaboration and led to the founding of Das Blümelein Project.
Since its inception, Das Blümelein Project has been the recipient of the BreckCreate Artist Residency in Breckenridge, Colorado, the TX Studio Artist Residency in Dallas, Texas, and has participated in the Cherry on Top Creatives Festival in Marfa, Texas. Das Blümelein Project regularly tours throughout the United States and has been invited to perform at a number of universities.
With a focus on nontraditional programming, Das Blümelein Project enjoys performing in nontraditional venues including art galleries, wine cellars, and outdoor spaces. Das Blümelein Project creates interdisciplinary experiences for its audiences by collaborating with dancers, visual artists, instrumental musicians, chefs, restauranteurs as well as local businesses such as breweries and distilleries. These holistic performances make art, in every format, more accessible to Das Blümelein Project’s audiences.
